The only way to discover the limits of the possible is to go beyond them into the impossible.

University of Iowa PING
Designed from the ground up by myself for the student organization I founded on campus in order to provide a social networking
outlet for gamers on the University of Iowa campus. Our organization strives to make it easy for students with a common interest
to make new acquaintances and share in a common interest. The website is always under constant revision in order to make this concept
as simple as possible. The hardware and software hosting the site is maintained by myself and has taught me a great deal of the other
side of web development.
University of Iowa ACM
Starting in the Fall of 2009 I will be the Webmaster for the University of Iowa chapter of the Association for Computing Machinery. Our
site was developed by one of the founding members and has been mostly just maintained since its incarnation. Plans are in place to upgrade
the system as well as to update the design of the site. The hardware hosting the site is mainly maintained by the University of Iowa DIVMS Computer
Support Group.
University of Iowa Foundation Latop Tracking
Designed and coded by myself for the University of Iowa Foundation's Information Technology Department. The system is a very simplex way of
allowing the department to track who in the building has a temporary laptop currently checked out to them. The system was designed out of a
need to keep better tabs on where laptops are and for how long they've been with specific people.
GamerCard Creator
During the Fall of 2009, I took a class in which my project was to create this site. The site is a demo of basic web application design with
AJAX. The site's intent is to allow gamer's to combine all of their gaming-related contact information into one easy to access site. Considering
how many systems gamers are involved with nowadays, it felt a good idea to prototype a system where gamer's could share one URL with one another
as a sort of business card that would allow others to get a hold of them on any system.
H1N1 Risk Calculator
During the Fall of 2009, I took a class in which our group's project was to develop a prototype interface for an application to "help" with some
facet of the Swine Flu. The site has no real functionality and is just an interface prototype developed through a large amount of usability testing.
What our application is intended to do is to calculate an arbitrary risk level for a person based on personal information and habits of the user.
University of Iowa Computing Conference
The University of Iowa ACM holds a computing conference annually on campus where we bring in speakers from across the country. As part of my
position as the webmaster for the ACM, I developed the conference's website to allow potential attendees to gather information and make the whole
conference easier for everyone involved.
